Work History

I currently design and develop website full time. However I started developing websites at Motlow State Community College in 1998 and worked there until 2009. I started out as a secretary in the Economic and Community Development office. When websites were just starting my boss decided the task for desgining and creating a website should be my responsibility. So I started learning!

It didn't take long before I enjoyed the website development and computers so much I applied for a job in the Center for Information department. We handled the website for the college, long distance learning capabilities and instruction for faculty and staff in computer programs. I loved it! I stayed with the department until they moved me to Smyrna to head up computer services for that campus and to be the full time "webmater". That's what they use to call it! It seems funny to think about that title now.

I stayed with the college until 2009 when they offered a college wide buyout program. I decided I needed to push my skills even further. I took the buyout and joined my huband in purchasing Mid Tenn Fencing in Murfreesboro. I've spent that time developing the companies marketing program, accounting systems and website development.

The fence company has gone so well that I have worked myself out of a job! I still do the same things it just doesn't take me as long now! So I have devoted the majority of my time to working with select clients on thier website development. After working at the fence company I know that small businesses are at a HUGE disadvantage when it comes to website development.

It is way to expensive to hire someone on staff so they usually have to contract that out. That's where I come in. I can help you develop your website where it is up to current website standards as set by the WC3, the standards setting body recoginized by developers as the leading standards for website development.
